It’s “spring” in Alberta, and that means calving season, rain, snow, or shine. I got to help with the cows a little bit on my boyfriends family farm. The calves are adorable, so soft and cute.
Some are born healthy and can drink their moms milk alone, but some need a little help until they learn to do it on their own.
It’s a lot of work checking, sorting, feeding, cleaning, vaccinating and preparing at all times of the day and night! Especially when you’re constantly fighting Alberta’s ridiculous weather this time of year. One day its sunny and dry and the next its blowing snow and freezing rain! But either way, I’m so lucky to be able to learn all this first hand!
