I booked holidays in September and had no idea what I was going to do with the time off. I was browsing the web to find a getaway home and stumbled upon a gorgeous cabin nestled in the hills next door to Waterton National Park. I was sold the moment I saw the guest cabin.
Somehow, I had never been to Waterton before this. It was amazing, as I’ve always loved the beauty of Southern Alberta. Within a couple hours of being at the cabin, I was already sitting on the porch, dreaming of how I could get my hands on some land down there. The beauty is just breathtaking, even to those who are lucky enough to call it home.
Unfortunately, it rained the entire time I was there. Which is quite typical of the Rockies, as it has never been sunny when I’ve gone. Maybe I just bring the rain with me. Southern Alberta had just set a record for the longest stretch of hot, sunny days, which coincidentally ended the day I showed up.
No amount of rain can hinder the stunning beauty of Waterton and the surrounding area. Nice try though, Alberta weather. Jokes on you, now I get to make a return visit.
